Have you ever heard the saying, that “you want a young doctor and an old lawyer"? What it boils down to is experience. You want a young doctor who has just completed medical school and a residency because that doctor is familiar with all the new research, equipment, and medicines. And you want an old lawyer because an old lawyer knows where the pitfalls are, where the traps are laid, and has a few tricks of his own up his sleeve.
However, not just any old experienced lawyer will do. You want a lawyer who concentrates his or her practice on representing people who’ve been injured by careless drivers who’ve broken the rules of the road. You want a lawyer who has taken on insurance companies and big corporations - and won.
If I were getting a lawyer to represent me, I’d want one like my old dog Bodi. He was as laidback a dog as any you’ve seen. But one day when we were out walking, a bulldog came out of nowhere and attacked us. Lickety-split, old Bodi was on that bulldog. The fight was over before it started. The bulldog limped off with its tail between its legs. To look at old Bodi, you’d never know that anything out of the ordinary had just happened. And that's the kind of lawyer you want: one that is even-tempered, but ready, willing, and able to fight when necessary.
I guess it’s bragging, but I like to think that I’m like that old dog, and hope that you’ld consider me if you need a lawyer to fight an insurance company. I’d be happy to talk to you about it, and if I’m not who you’re looking for, I can recommend some other lawyers for you to consider.
